The job market is so drastically different these days yet so many job seekers are still using the same old methods of job searching. I thought to myself, this can’t simply be because people are choosing not to change their tactics, but rather, because they are not aware of the different strategies they should be using. Certainly, if people only knew, they’d change their approach. Thus, I decided I needed to make my first video blog (not counting the one I did using Xtranormal) to give job seekers a figurative slap in the face so they could wake up, realize that times have changed and get with the program.
Before teaching people about blogging, tweeting, using QR codes, and all the other tactics that exist, they must first understand why they should care. Moreover, job seekers need to understand that these are more than mere suggestions to compete; they are requirements to stay relevant! So, I hope you enjoy this presentation, but more importantly, I hope you learn something and I hope it inspires you to change your tactics. Please share it with your friends and family who are looking for work. It is under 25 minutes in length because I wanted to keep it short and sweet! By the way, if anyone has some awesome video software to recommend, let me know! I won’t say what I used, but it isn’t my favorite
